First The Bud Then The Flower

First the buds appear ...

My friend’s apple tree has been a delight to watch over the past couple of weeks. Buds appeared, almost invisible at first, growing until they looked ready to burst.

... then the buds begin to burst ...

Then came the blossom; an odd flower here & there,

... then each flower appears ...

followed by more single flowers until the tree was full & the air thick with perfume.

Our little bit adds to all the other little bits ...

So often we think that ‘my little bit cannot possibly make a difference.’

Then we stand back, see the whole picture & realise that our little bit adds to all the little bits contributed by others & we realise that not only is the tree transformed, the effects (perfume) overflows into many other surrounding areas.

As I keep having to remind myself, never give up.

My part may be a bud, the first signs that change is coming or it may be the final flower that fills the tree & completes the picture.

... until we have the whole picture.

Take care until next time …

About waywood

Hi & Welcome to my thoughts. I share subjects that are important to me. As you’ll notice, these subjects can be quite broad & varied. I like variety; I like breadth & I like a challenge. I am passionate about helping others overcome their fears, grow in confidence & succeed. Although many people would label me as an achiever, I have battled low confidence, low self-esteem & a couple of nasty, long periods depression over the years. I can’t say, “I know how you feel” but I can hopefully empathise & offer some of the things that are helping me to turn my life around. Please feel free to comment, share & enjoy. Take care, best wishes & keep well Stuart

I’ve also some fruit trees in the garden. Every year it’s a pleasant experience to see the fruits grow. 🙂

      Thanks 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing the apples start to grow & mature too (though I won’t be trying to eat any as they are apparently cooking apples) 🙂

      Keep well & take care.
